Weight is never just about willpower. It is shaped by hormones, sleep, stress, medicines, life stage and the stories we carry. Our pharmacist-led weight management service brings evidence-based clinical care together with the time and kindness to understand yours.
Every plan is built around you. For some people that means nutrition, movement and behavioural support alone. For others, prescribed medical treatment may also be right. That decision is always made by a registered prescriber, with you, after a full consultation, and only where it is clinically appropriate.
How it works
- Book your consultation. Choose a time online, face to face at our Victoria pharmacy or by secure live video. Your consultations and reviews are included in the programme price shown on our Prices page.
- Your consultation. You meet one of our pharmacist Independent Prescribers. We talk through your health, your history, the medicines and supplements you take, and what you would like to change. We ask gentle screening questions about mood and your relationship with food, because your wellbeing matters as much as your weight.
- Our safety checks. We confirm who you are with photo ID. We measure your height and weight, either in person or live on camera; we never rely on a figure you send us, a photo or a phone call. With your consent, we also check information from your GP record.
- Your plan, decided together. We explain every option open to you, including lifestyle support, NHS services and treatments we don’t provide. If medical treatment is suitable, your prescriber explains the benefits, the side effects and what to expect. If it isn’t, we will tell you honestly and help you find the right support.
- A second pair of eyes. Every prescription is clinically checked by a second pharmacist before it is supplied. No prescriber checks their own prescription.
- Your first supply. If your first consultation was by video, you visit the pharmacy in person before your first supply. We check your weight, show you exactly how to use your treatment, and make sure you leave feeling confident.
- Ongoing care. You have a review with a prescriber before every supply, and there are no automatic repeats. We track your progress, side effects and wellbeing. You can collect from the pharmacy or have your treatment delivered to a verified UK address by tracked Post Office delivery, in temperature-controlled packaging.
Working with your GP
With your consent, we tell your GP about your treatment so that everyone caring for you has the full picture. For prescribed weight-management treatment, if you would prefer us not to inform your GP, we may not be able to prescribe. We will always explain why.
Is this right for me?
Our service is for adults aged 18 and over who live in the UK. Medical treatment is not suitable for everyone, for example during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, or with certain medical conditions. Your prescriber will talk this through with you. Booking a consultation does not guarantee that a medicine will be prescribed.
What we will never do
- Prescribe from an online questionnaire, a photograph or a phone call alone.
- Rush your treatment, or increase it faster than is safe for you.
- Let a sale come before your wellbeing.
