Declaration of Interests
At The London PharmaClinic, you should know who is advising you and what else they are involved in. This page lists the professional and commercial interests of our pharmacists, so you can judge for yourself whether anything might affect the care you receive.
No company pays us to recommend, prescribe or supply a particular medicine. Every prescribing decision follows national guidance (including NICE) and what is right for you clinically. We will always tell you about other options, including treatment available on the NHS.
Sukhvir (Sukhi) Basra – Pharmacist Independent Prescriber, Lead Prescriber (GPhC 2047133)
Ownership and directorships
- Director of Clinichem Ltd, which owns and runs Clinichem Pharmacy and The London PharmaClinic.
- Director of Baspharm Ltd, a holding company. It does not own or run any other pharmacy.
- Director of the National Pharmacy Association Ltd and its associated companies: NPA Services Ltd, Pharmacists’ Professional Indemnity Ltd, NPAnet Ltd, National Pharmaceutical Association Ltd and AskYourPharmacist Ltd. Also a director of the NPA Health Education Foundation.
- Our pharmacy’s professional indemnity insurance is provided by NPA Insurance on the same standard terms as any NPA member. Sukhi takes no part in any decision about our own cover.
Pharmaceutical industry
- Eli Lilly and Company Ltd: Sukhi holds a speaker agreement with Lilly for educational work, including the “Weight Management Essentials” programme. The work is paid at fair market value.
- Lilly makes tirzepatide (Mounjaro), which we prescribe for weight management. This is a real interest, and we manage it openly:
- Your treatment is decided on your clinical need and NICE guidance, not by which manufacturer makes the medicine.
- Before you start, we discuss alternatives with you, including other medicines, lifestyle support and NHS services.
- Sukhi’s educational work for Lilly does not promote Lilly products to our patients, and we do not display Lilly promotional material in the clinic.
Professional roles (unpaid)
- Vice Chair of the National Pharmacy Association.
- Member of the Community Pharmacy England Committee.
- Committee member of Community Pharmacy Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster.
- These roles are voluntary. When Sukhi attends or represents these bodies, Clinichem Ltd is reimbursed for the cost of locum cover. Sukhi receives no personal payment.
Speaking
- Sukhi speaks at professional events, including The Pharmacy Show. Any sponsored talk or fee is added to this page.

How we manage interests
Every interest is recorded in our Register of Interests, which is held by the Superintendent Pharmacist and reviewed every quarter. Our team declares any new interest as soon as it arises, and we update this page whenever the register changes. If you have a question about any of the interests listed, please email hello@thelondonpharmaclinic.co.uk or ask any member of our team.
