Who Is Eligible via the NHS (2025 Phase 1):
Per NHS England’s Obesity Plan:
- BMI ≥ 40 (or ≥ 37.5 for some ethnic groups)
- AND at least four weight-related conditions (e.g., type 2 diabetes, sleep apnoea, NAFLD, hypertension)
- Referral via Tier 3 specialist services
Only around 220,000 of the most at-risk individuals will qualify at this stage (NICE TA875).

When Will Pharmacies Offer This?
